Terms of service
Last updated: 2026-09-01. The short version: you keep your data, you do not abuse the sandbox, and we will not silently change the rules.
1. Who this covers
These terms govern your use of the cidbee platform (the "Service"), operated by cidbee, Inc. A "workspace" is a named tenant on the Service. If you sign up for a workspace on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it to these terms.
2. Your data
You own your data. You grant us a limited licence to process it solely to run the Service: storage, indexing, backup, and serving it back to authorised users. We never sell your data, never train models on it, and never access it except to operate the platform or investigate a security incident, with a write-up where legally permitted.
3. The sandbox, and what you can't do
Tenant functions run in V8 isolates behind a capability broker. You will not attempt to escape the sandbox, exfiltrate another tenant's data, abuse metered compute, or probe the platform beyond reasonable testing in a workspace you control. Violations result in suspension — and, where warranted, coordinated disclosure.
4. Fees & billing
Paid tiers bill monthly in advance. You may cancel at any time; changes take effect at the end of the current period. Metered usage is disclosed live in the billing screen — we don't bill surprises. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
5. Availability
We target 99.95% monthly API availability. Planned maintenance is announced on the status page with at least 24h notice where feasible. A refund credit may apply if uptime falls below the published SLO for a full calendar month.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, cidbee and its officers, employees and agents have no liability for indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, goodwill, data or other intangible losses. Our aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the amounts you actually paid to us in the three (3) months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of your jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction that implies non-waivable warranties, they apply.
7. Changes
We may update these terms to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes are announced on the changelog at least 30 days before they take effect, and continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing here restricts any consumer rights under EU law.
